i've been to boston, washington dc, dallas, manchester (NH), and bethel (ME) since my last update.
visited helen from ucsd in boston. soon to be DOCTOR optometrist helen to my sorry undergrad educated a$$. i also went to harvard and talked to a 1st year b-school student. i was merely entertaining the idea of applying and was pretty sold after the chat. but then i walked into the study hall and saw some kids in sweater vests, white loafers, and poofy hair chilling on antique and very expensive looking solid oak chairs and tables. on a saturday afternoon. just like in good will hunting. i slightly regurgitated my boston market. also walked around the MIT b-school on sunday but it was dead so i didn't get much out of that. boston is a chill, old-world feeling city with oak-y bars and brainiac citizens. cool, but not my cup o' tea.

being a dr doesn't mean u've got scrillage...
went to the "consulting skills workshop" in Wash DC. didn't get to do much site seeing but i did get to see the spy museum. one of the most fascinating collections of spy paraphernalia and spy histories every gathered in one place. must go back to the dc for the spring blossoms armed with a camera...

it's a japanese tourist pigeon! if i did as this pigeon did, i wouldn't have lost my camera
was in dallas for two weeks to manage temps who are taking over the work i was doing. one temp became a paraplegic after being shot in the back. he's real ol' skool and has a few teardrop tats under his eye... another chick was apparently a madame, pimpin out h to da izzoes. and one of my coworkers owns a pickup and hauls hunted deer in the back. very interesting ppl in dallas...
saw the most beautiful thing in manchester after the ice storms. stark naked tree with spindly branches pointing upwards towards the sky. ice encasing each branch, the sun shone through the tree and lit it up like a natural chandelier. wish i had a camera. absolutely breathtaking. also, lawns are all crystal-ey like superman's home. food-wise, famous dave's bbq is the best bbq i've ever had. yes, in new hampshire. ice driving. very cool. imagine a parking lot with no cars and ice so slick that my scubie legacy slid down the driveway ramp after i stopped on it. think 10 second 4-wheel drifts... 2 hours of ice driving later and i could park neatly in a spot 30 feet in front of me facing the other way i started.

hit up sunday river in maine to snowboard for the weekend with nine other heads. just snowed 7" a few days before and all day sunday so conditions were good. been so anxious to snowboard before this that i would have rather watched snowboarding vids than all-male nude oil wrestling. thank god i got it out of my system. sucks that karmela knocked her head to mild concussion land. hopefully, she won't be discouraged to hit the slopes later this season. also rocked some rutted fire trails in maine forests in the scubie. part lux-sedan, part offroader. sweeeeet.

serene summit...

20 degrees outside, 105 degrees in the lit hot tub, and 500 degrees where the water jets are pounding my crotch...
